2. Our Business Model — Full Disclosure

Contractor Accountants Harrow is a free-to-use referral and matching service. We connect contractors and directors in Harrow and surrounding areas with specialist contractor accountants. We do not charge contractors for this matching service.

Referral fee disclosure: We receive a small, fixed referral fee from accountants in our network when a contractor engagement is successfully initiated. This fee is paid by the accountant — never by you — and does not affect the fees the accountant charges you for their services. Our referral fees do not create an obligation to recommend any particular accountant over another; matches are made on the basis of specialism, location, and contractor requirements.

3. Nature of Our Service — Financial Disclaimer

Contractor Accountants Harrow does not provide financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or regulated accountancy services of any kind.

Specifically, we do not:

• Provide IR35 status determinations or assessments
• Prepare, review, or file tax returns, corporation tax returns, or VAT returns
• Advise on salary, dividend, or pension structures
• Act as an HMRC authorised agent for any contractor
• Provide legal, financial, investment, or any other regulated advice

All accountancy services, tax advice, and professional advice described or referenced on this website are provided exclusively by the independent, certified accountants in our network — not by us. Content on this website (including blog articles, service descriptions, and FAQ answers) is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. Tax law changes frequently; always verify current rules with a qualified professional or HMRC directly.

4. Our Vetting Process

We apply a 9-stage vetting process before admitting accountants to our network, including verification of ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA membership, HMRC agent registration, IR35 competency, and professional indemnity insurance. Full details are on our About page.

However, our vetting process is not a guarantee of the quality, suitability, or conduct of any accountant in any specific engagement. We carry out checks at admission and annually. You should conduct your own due diligence before engaging any accountant introduced through our service.

5. Your Obligations

• Provide accurate and complete information in your enquiry
• Be the contractor, director, or authorised representative submitting the enquiry
• Not submit enquiries on behalf of others without their consent
• Not use our service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Treat accountants introduced through our service professionally and respectfully

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Contractor Accountants Harrow excludes all liability for:

• Loss arising from your engagement with any accountant introduced through our service
• Professional negligence, errors, or omissions by any accountant in our network
• Tax penalties, interest, or HMRC action arising from advice given by a referred accountant
• Inaccuracies in general information provided on this website
• Indirect, consequential, or financial loss from use of our service

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of our free matching service shall not exceed £100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Complaints

Complaints about an accountant’s professional services should be raised directly with them first. All network accountants are members of ICAEW, ACCA, or CIMA — each of which operates an independent complaints and disciplinary procedure.

You may also notify us at complaints@contractoraccountantharrow.co.uk. Substantiated complaints may result in removal from our network.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
